We went to Palace Theater to see Shen Yun, a classical Chinese dance and music show. This is our first time to this venue. So we arrived early and it was easy to find a parking across the street for …Full review by Henry D

You can park in the lot across the street. Police cars usually park right near the theater and police make sure people can cross the road safely. Also, the police station is literally a few hundred yards up the street. There will be many people at that show. It's highly unlikely you'd have any problems. Just park in a public lot right near the theater. The UCONN Waterbury campus is across the street from the theater. I'm bringing my family to the show. Downtown Waterbury was once very beautiful. Urban blight took its toll. Mostly that part of downtown is impacted by poverty. More dangerous neighbors border downtown. Just stick to the main streets and you'll be fine.
My fiancé and I will be attending the Johnny Mathis show and would like some convenient, good restaurants near the theater as we will be combining from another part of Connecticut. No Pizzarias, please. Thanks

We always enjoy Diorios when we're in the area. Feels fancy & prices are fair; food is delicious & good wine list.
