Idaho prosecutors say a man charged in the stabbing deaths of four University of Idaho students shouldn’t be allowed to offer an alibi defense unless he takes the stand himself during the murder trial later this year.

Ahead of the trial in the University of Idaho murders case, Bryan Kohberger’s defense team has filed motion to remove the death penalty and may be preparing to argue the accused killer has autism. NBC’s Laura Jarrett reports for TODAY.
