The Indiana State Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting, which led to the death of Matthew Huttle, 42, from Hobart, on Sunday.
Matthew Huttle, freed last year after six months in jail, was shot to death in a scuffle with a sheriff’s deputy along a rural road.
According to Indiana State Police, the officer attempted to arrest the suspect, but the suspect resisted and an altercation took place.
Matthew Huttle was among more than 1,500 people pardoned by President Donald Trump stemming from the Capitol attack Jan. 6, 2021.
An altercation took place between the suspect and the officer, which resulted in the officer firing his weapon and fatally wounding the suspect,” state police said in a news release.
