Quantic Dream, the studio working on Star Wars Eclipse, shares a highly awaited update in the wake of closures under parent company NetEase.

Detroit: Become Human and Star Wars Eclipse developer Quantic Dream has confirmed it is "unaffected" by recent NetEase cuts and layoffs.

What's worrying here is, Marvel Rivals took off like a rocket when it launched in December 2024, and it seems the game has not slowed down. NetEase has reported that the game has accumulated 40 million players already, translating to $2.9 billion revenue from the age already.

Remember years ago? Nearly four, to be exact? We told you that Quantic Dream was working on a Star Wars game. Shortly after that news, a trailer followed, which only increased our excitement and made us more confident that we would soon be able to shape a Star Wars story to our liking.

On Monday, the NetEase studio headed by former Control lead designer Paul Ehreth released a statement confirming it “has not been affected by any studio closures”, adding that it remains “full steam ahead” building its debut game.
