The rivalry game between Arizona State basketball and Arizona basketball was headlined by Sun Devils head coach, Bobby Hurley. At the end of the game, he pulled his players off of the court, according to a post by The Field of 68.

Instead of meeting at center court and shaking hands with the opposing team after the final buzzer sounded, Sun Devils coach Bobby Hurley stormed off of the court, dismissed Arizona head coach Tommy Lloyd with a wave of the hand, and forced his players to leave the court without shaking hands with the Wildcats.
