A superstar quarterback isn't needed to be a contending team in the NFL, but it sure does help. And when it comes to teams with head coaching vacancies, the better quarterback your team has, the more attractive a destination your team is for the top candidates.

Although a win against the Bills in Week 18 slid the Patriots down the first-round draft order from the first overall pick to the fourth, they're still in a good position to improve their roster in more ways than one.

The No. 4 spot on the draft board is still a premium draft selection, and the Patriots will have a crack at one of the top-four players in college football. It might make them less likely to trade the pick now out of fear of missing on a potential game-changer right out of the gates.

The Bears will be selected 10th overall in the NFL draft, where they're in a position to land a top prospect. There are a slew of needs on the roster, most notably along the offensive line, where there are four starting spots up for grabs (with right tackle Darnell Wright safe).

With the Indianapolis Colts' 2024 season behind us, now the focus really begins to turn to the 2025 NFL draft. What we know right now is that the Colts will hold the 14th overall selection in the first round.
