Dimuth Karunaratne is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who has represented his country primarily in the longer formats of the sport (Tests and ODIs), as an opening batter. In February 2019, Sri Lanka Cricket (the governing body for the sport in the country) had appointed him Sri Lanka’s captain in the test match format.
