Oct 27, 2020 · I love the sectional. I've owned two Ektorp corner sectionals and I am so happy about the Uppland update. It's perfect. When you get yours, I highly recommend Hallarp Beige. It's a beautiful light beige with a small percentage of cotton in the fabric. My cats are destroying it with their murderous mittens, but it still looks great.

Aug 30, 2022 · I’ve been scouring the internet for weeks for the perfect couch imo. After much indecisiveness, I finally went to IKEA yesterday and fell in love with the feeling of the Uppland; the Kivik came in at #2. I like firm-plush couches, ones that feel like a very firm pillow that won’t soften over time. Unfortunately, the Uppland looks rather bleh.

May 20, 2021 · The Ektorp has (had) better fabric choices - more of a twill as opposed to the harlanda which is a bit fuzzier (and collects way more pet hair). The uppland looks like a similar fabric to what they offered on the Ektorp. The harlanda full cover cannot be removed unless you take the arms off (sofa) and take the sectional pieces apart.

May 18, 2021 · While in IKEA, I saw another sofa (Ektorp) which looks very similar and is almost the same price. I drove back home in hopes of ordering it online as it was getting late and the store was closing, here's where the problems came: The UPPLAND is out of stock and I have no clue when it'll be back. This is for both the IKEAs in the DC-MD-VA region.

Dec 5, 2020 · Recently bought Uppland sofa and love seat after learning Ektorp was to be discontinued. Wanted the white covers but settled for the dark gray knowing white covers would eventually be available. Uppland sofa is comfortable for sitting and lying down. Love seat not long enough to stretch out unless you're a kid.

Aug 10, 2022 · Hoping people can give some thoughts between these two. I'm looking at the 2-seat Vinliden sofa, or the 3 seat Uppland sofa. The price is comparable ($50 difference), so not a consideration. I like the more traditional look and feel of the Uppland, but the one they had in the showroom locally was pretty uncomfortable.

Sep 12, 2021 · Yes, I mean Uppland and not Ektorp. We were just in our local Ikea (Halifax, NS) to look at the Uppland sectional and they had none on display. We asked in store if they had any idea when more would be in, and they told us it had been discontinued.

Jan 1, 2023 · She had the Uppland with pets and kids and loved it. The cover is a canvas slip cover- you can order in a few diff colors, one patterned and throw it in the washer/ drier. One thing I discovered is that there are sellers on Etsy who make slipcovers for the different slip-covered Ikea sofas with a lot of cool fabric choices.

The pillows on this IKEA Uppland couch are incredibly frustrating, and I’m hoping to fix them on a budget. There are two major problems: Whenever we lean on the back pillows they flatten and crumple up. It seems like the issue is that they aren’t stuffed enough, and that the stuffing inside of them is too soft.
